Indeed, Iona is a “very thin place.” I went thinking I needed to spend time with God. Not that one has to go anywhere to spend time with God for God meets us where we are, any time and any place. It was more like going on a vacation with a loved one where you get to take time away from the usual and everyday distractions and reconnect with each other. It was beautiful.
